Founded in 1984, the Breckenridge Group has designed federal government buildings, schools, municipal centers, sports complexes and universities/colleges.  Local projects include Corona Foothills Middle School, Tucson Convention Center improvements,  Randolf Tennis Center, and projects at  Davis-Monthan AFB.

Line and Space

Since 1978, Les Wallach, FAIA, and his 11 person team of architects and contractors have been designing and building projects with an eye to sustainability and environmental stewardship.  Internationally recognized, Line and Space has garnered more than 100 design awards for their quiet integration of structure and landscape.  Local award winning designs include the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Cesar Chavez Regional Library, Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center.  Line and Space also maintains an office in China and has been responsible for projects like the Tianqin Bay Masterplan in Shenzhen, China.
Rick Joy Architects
Rick Joy is an Arizona-based architect, best known for his desert-based houses.  In 2002, Joy received the Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He  was involved in the design of the Pan American villa, home to 8,500 athletes and delegates in Guadalajara, Mexico for the 2011 Pan American Games, has done master planning for towns in three countries, designed a 1.3 million square foot mixed-use development in Tucson and the Princeton University Station store, restaurant and cafe.


He has been visiting professor of architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Rice University, University of Arizona, and MIT. In 2002, Joy’s first monograph was published under the title Desert Works.

ROYAL INSTITUTE OF BRITISH ARCHITECTS PRESS RELEASE

The ROYAL INSTITUTE OF BRITISH ARCHITECTS (RIBA)  today announced that Tucson architect Rick Joy of Rick Joy Architects is one of nine architects honored with a 2016 International Fellowship.  The lifetime honor allows individual recipients to use the initials Int FRIBA after their name and will be presented at a special event at the RIBA in London in February 2016.
